These are just few examples of what I do every day (that is when I don’t do any painting obviously)…
Presentation boards (also known as mood boards)
You can easily create them for yourself using software like: Powerpoint or Photoshop or simply by sticking pictures and samples of your choice to A3 piece of paper or a foam board. It’s a good way of finding out your own style!
Technical drawings (space planning)
I produce mine in Auto Cad, which is a bit tricky to start with but once you get to grips with it will be so quick and easy to use. It’s quite expensive (I’ve got mine for free when I started my course at NDA) so it’s probably better to stick to hand drawings if you’re not planning any interior design madness to take over your life…(but in case you do just click here for the latest version)
There are many software that can help you with this but one I recommend for beginners is definitely Sketchup, simply because it is very easy to use and it’s FREE! Of course if you’re blessed with a hand that Picasso would be jealous of (I’m not!) then you can create your visualisations by hand. That would be free too!
If you need help with creating your own boards, drawings or designs, let me know. I’ll be happy to help…
